It’s raining, its pouring, its blow, blow, blowing. Super Power Boat racers have been severely challenged over the past few days due to etraordinary winds and rain making yesterday’s test runs a nightmare. The first race this morning had to be cancelled but I can hear them roaring along the waterfront now as I am typing this. These high speed boats are a sight to see. High-speed powerboats is a longstanding Key West tradition in a challenge described as the Indianapolis 500 of powerboat racing. The races are running down at the Truman Waterfront through the 14th of this month. Tickets are available. I hope get a chance to come on down. They are marvel to watch. We wish them luck, especially safety in racing under these adverse conditions. Call (305) 296-6166 or visit http://www.superboat.com
Lots of great things going on in town so be sure to check the calendar on the home page that I update daily.
