Yes, Virginia, there is a “Spring” after all. The weekend is shaping up to be a beautiful one. I know my friends up north in many areas are still contending with snow or the beginning of the thaw. I know there must be a crocus or daffodil screaming to poke its little bright head out to the sun somehwere.
Myself, I will be working tomorrow until 4pm when I go meet my dear friend Larry Harvey at KWEST to help celebrate his 89th birthday. He is truly a marvel! Then I am off to friends for a cookout. Sunday, while many will wear their special bonnets, I will be off kayaking with the Green Parrot Kayak Society. It is meant to be a glorious adventure.
Sorry I have such limited doings this weekend but I have been bogged down with 60 hours of post-licensing study and exams for the real estate broker’s license and then succumbed to a cold. I just can’t seem to burn the midnight oil as I once did. I think Larry has more energy than I do some days. What’s up with that?
Anyway, here are a few special things this weekend
Saturday:
• noon-pm 2nd Annual Music Festival – Reggae Fest
• 7:00-8:00 Grand Opening Key West Toy Factory and benefit for Samuel’s House
Sunday: Happy Trails to You!
• Underwater Eater Egg Hunt
• Noon-1:00pm Free Concert at St. Paul’s Church
• 5-7pm Charity BINGO upstairs at 801 Bourbon Bar
Monday:
• 7pm-9pm Charity BINGO at the Green Parrot for MARC House
Of course great shows happening at the local theatres, fabulous music all around town!
By the way, No Charity Happy Hour at the BottleCap due to holiday weekend but still open for fun and that’s where I headed shortly
Have a wonderful weekend whatever you do and be safe. Thanks for caring & sharing!! Cheers, Ginger
